Conference Posters
Editorial, Design, and Full Project Management

Carolyn Hunt and Betsy Gallagher have been creating scientific posters and podium presentations for major conferences for more than 7 years. Over the years of working together, we’ve developed a highly effective system for handling multiple posters and presentations. We will meet your deadline and satisfy your presenters.

• Project management from start to finish. We provide and manage timelines and calendars, keep the project on track, obtain internal approval signatures, act as liaisons among departments and individuals, while keeping you informed of our progress.

Posters

We work directly with the author to edit and write properly styled content that presents your research accurately in a well-designed, appropriate format. We encourage authors to have ownership of their posters. To assist them, we provide a working template in PowerPoint for them to create a preliminary layout and text. Once the working copy is completed to the author’s satisfaction, it is used to obtain internal approval

• Production: When the working poster is approved, we transfer the contents to Photoshop and Illustrator for maximum size, and quality. Graphs, drawings, and other illustrations are created or brought up to our design standards. The artist creates an overall design that reflects scientific propriety while incorporating necessary branding elements. Our overall standards of appearance ensure that attendees will want to read your poster and interact with you.
• Printing: We proofread each poster and transfer the files to the printer. We perform press checks of each poster to ensure print quality.
• Delivery: We deliver the poster to the author in a carrying tube, or we send it by UPS to the conference hotel. We track the poster all the way to the author’s hands. The project is not complete until the author has the poster, even if that means reprinting at the conference location. We also provide handouts and a PDF file of the poster.

Special Materials

Never tote a poster in a tube again. With a little advance notice we can have your poster printed on an alternative material that you can pack in your carry-on. The quality is comparable to paper posters, and size is not affected. The clients who have tried them say that the convenience far outweighs the small extra cost.

Abstracts

Before you can start thinking about your award winning poster or audience-capturing presentation, your abstract has to be carefully written and edited, approved within your company, submitted to the governing body, and finally, accepted.

PMR Comm has a track record of assisting authors to write abstracts that get accepted. We know the proper conventions of abstract writing. We assist authors in finding their focus, and work with them one on one to write the first strong draft. We edit your abstract to eliminate the errors and red flags that cause rejection, such as leaps in logic, confusing syntax, poor data presentation, improper style, and marketing jargon to name a few.

PMR Comm is more than a writing and editing service. We know how to make the abstract process easy. Our services include project management for larger quantities of abstracts. We will obtain approval signatures and manage changes (we will even customize a no-nonsense internal approval system for you) submit your abstract or abstracts electronically, and archive the records.
